How much is it to commission one of these figure studies of myself?
These drawings are offered at two sizes and prices:

A3 size (29.7cm x 42cm) : $360NZD including delivery
A2 size (42cm x 59.4cm) : $620NZD including delivery
All artworks are done with charcoal on fine art paper and sprayed with a fixative for protection once completed.

Why are these drawings so much cheaper than your other charcoal artworks?
Although the quality of these works is just as high as my photorealistic work, this style is a little less detailed which means they’re less labour intensive. This allows me to offer them at a much more affordable price point.

I don’t think I look like the models in your previous works and I don’t feel very confident or comfortable in my skin, will you still draw me?
Absolutely. All body types, shapes and sizes are welcome here. These works are about celebrating the human form and your body is as worthy of celebrating as anyone else’s. My hope is that through the process of vulnerability that comes with putting yourself out there to be drawn you might not only end up with an awesome artwork but also a sense of empowerment that you might not have felt for a while or perhaps at all.

Ok, I might be interested in ordering a commission, what next?
Just send me a message here then I’ll be in touch and ask you a few questions about what you have in mind as far as pose, the type of background markings you like and what you want the artwork to reflect etc. From there you can either send some photos of yourself you already have or I can offer suggestions about what makes a good reference photo and you can take some specifically for the work. Once we’ve agreed to the photo you’d like used as reference a $100 deposit is paid and I’ll get to work. When the drawing is finished I’ll send you a photo of the finished artwork and if you’re happy with it the remaining balance is paid and I’ll courier the finished artwork to you.

You work from photos, how do I know I can trust you with my photos?
I understand and respect the sensitive nature and feeling of vulnerability that can come with sharing photos of yourself with someone you don’t know. While I guarantee I take your privacy and trust very seriously and will do everything I can to protect both, ultimately it comes down to a judgement call by you based on your gut feeling and assessment of my character through our conversations before work begins. I want the whole experience to be a positive and empowering one so if you have any questions or concerns please do raise them with me and if after that you don’t feel good about it, please don’t do it.
Any and all photos you share throughout the process will be deleted once the work has been completed.

Will the finished artwork of me be shared publicly?
Only with your permission and if you’re comfortable with me doing so. Obviously I love being able to share my finished artworks with my audience but if you don’t want the work shared, it absolutely won’t be.
